S.C.O.P.E. Organizational Agility Assessment
See exactly where your client's agility gets stuck - in fifteen statements.
S.C.O.P.E. is Kevin Empey's rapid diagnostic of organizational agility. Respondents rate fifteen research-based statements across five dimensions, Strategy, Culture, Organization, People and External Focus, and rate each one twice: how true it is today, and how much it matters for the future. The gap between those two scores is where your work begins. You debrief the composite report, guide the conversation and stay the strategist; Esperto handles invitations, scoring and report delivery.

What S.C.O.P.E. measures
S.C.O.P.E. evaluates an organization's agility with fifteen research-based statements across five dimensions: Strategy, Culture, Organization, People and External Focus. Every statement is rated twice, the extent to which it is true today and how much of a priority it is for the organization's future success. That dual rating is what makes the report actionable: it shows not just where the organization stands, but where the biggest gaps between reality and ambition sit. Respondents can add open comments per dimension, and because the assessment can run at different levels of the organization, you can compare how leadership's view differs from the work floor's, which is often the most valuable insight of all.

- Open a transformation engagement with a structured agility baseline the leadership team can see and own.
- Rescue a stalled agile adoption: the organization introduced agile ways of working, but it is not landing, and nobody can say exactly why.
- Run S.C.O.P.E. as the follow-up deep dive when a culture assessment points to adaptiveness and agility as the issue, or the other way around: when S.C.O.P.E. shows culture is the bottleneck, a dedicated culture assessment is the natural next step.
- Compare perspectives across organization levels to surface the contrasting experiences and assumptions that block progress.
- Re-run the assessment after an improvement program to show measurable movement on the agility agenda.
How it works
From kickoff to executive insights in days. Pay-as-you-go, no subscriptions, no platform commitments, no surprise costs along the way.
Set up and invite
You define the respondent group, one leadership team or multiple levels of the organization, and the platform sends each person a unique link. You stay in control of timing, communication and scope.
Rate and score
Respondents rate the fifteen statements on current state and future priority, and add comments per dimension. The platform aggregates everything into one composite report with gap analysis.
You debrief, they move
You walk the leadership team through the results, from the headline dimension scores to the five biggest gaps, and turn the data into a shared agility roadmap. You stay the strategist.

S.C.O.P.E. questions
Who is S.C.O.P.E. for?
Coaches and consultants who work with leadership teams on transformation, agility and new ways of working. It is at its best in organizations dealing with the tension between managing in the traditional way and leading in a more adaptive way, exactly the companies where agile has been introduced but is not yet landing.
How long does a S.C.O.P.E. engagement take?
The questionnaire itself is short: fifteen statements, rated twice, plus optional comments. Once the respondent group has completed it, the composite report follows shortly after, and one focused debrief session with the leadership team is enough to get the agility conversation moving. [EDIT: confirm exact respondent time and turnaround.]
What does my client receive?
A composite organizational report: headline scores per dimension (current state versus desired future state), detailed results per statement within each of the five dimensions, respondent comments, and three summary tables showing the highest scoring practices, the lowest, and the five largest gaps between today and ambition. It is designed to be debriefed, not just read.
Do I need to be certified to deploy it?
No full certification is required. You follow a recorded onboarding webinar of about an hour that prepares you to set up the assessment, read the gap analysis and lead the debrief. After that you can deploy S.C.O.P.E. pay-as-you-go with any client. [EDIT: confirm the webinar-onboarding model with Kevin Empey.]
Can I combine S.C.O.P.E. with other assessments?
Yes, that is how it is designed to be used. Culture is one of the five S.C.O.P.E. dimensions, but only a handful of statements deep; when culture surfaces as the blocker, a dedicated culture assessment is the natural deep dive, and vice versa: organizations that start with a culture survey often use S.C.O.P.E. as the follow-up agility diagnosis. For the individuals in the organization, PAR takes the same agility story to the personal level.
