Elevaide Team Behaviour Assessment
See how your client's leadership team actually behaves in its own meetings, not how it says it behaves.
Elevaide observes the recurring meetings a leadership team already holds and scores what people actually said and did on five Elements of team effectiveness, with the evidence attached. You receive a monthly Team Read and a weekly signal, so the pattern the team discovered in your session does not fade before the next one. Built in Amsterdam by an INSEAD-certified executive coach and a behavioural-measurement engineer. You stay the strategist: the AI observes, you interpret, the team grows.

What the Elevaide Team Behaviour Assessment measures
Every team assessment on the market asks people what they think happens. Elevaide records what actually happens. An AI engine analyses the leadership team's own recurring meetings and detects specific, observable behaviours: who drives, who goes silent, where a decision leaves the room without an owner, where a challenge was needed and did not come. Those markers roll up into indicators, indicators into five Element scores, and the Elements into a single team read, with the transcript evidence attached. Deterministic measures sit alongside: speaking-time distribution, silence and turn-taking. The five Elements compress twenty-five established team-effectiveness models, among them Hackman, Wageman, Edmondson, Lencioni and Katzenbach & Smith, into one framework that is vetted by experienced team coaches and psychologists.
Five Elements
Trust Foundation
Is it safe to speak? How the team handles conflict, mistakes and uncertainty, and whether leaders invite or suppress participation.
Shared Vision & Roles
Do we know where we are going and who decides? Strategic alignment, role clarity, decision rigour, and whether trade-offs are made explicit.
Open Collaboration
Are we thinking together, or taking turns giving updates? Information flow, inquiry quality, evidence that people are actually heard, co-creation.
Continuous Learning
Are we changing how we operate based on what we learn? Retrospection, experimentation, playbook updates. Learning is behaviour that changes.
Collective Accountability
Do we do what we say we will do? Ownership clarity, commitment integrity, follow-through, peer pressure and course correction.
Strong performance in one Element does not compensate for failure in another. A team with high trust and no accountability is a pleasant team that does not execute.
Typical use cases for coaches and consultants
- Keep reading a Scaling Up or quarterly-rhythm client between your sessions, so you arrive with what actually happened instead of what the team remembers.
- Add Leader Read to a CEO coaching engagement. The gap between how a leader believes they show up and what the meeting data says is usually where the coaching starts.
- Pair it with a self-report instrument from the Esperto toolkit and put perception next to behaviour. The gap between the two is usually the coaching agenda.
- Check whether the commitments made at an offsite survive the next eight weeks of regular meetings.
- Give a newly formed or merged leadership team an early, evidence-based picture of how it actually decides, before the habits set.
How it works
A first picture after about three meetings, a Team Read every month, and a team workshop with you every quarter. Priced per team for the length of the engagement, not per report, so you are never metering profiles.
Consent and connect
The team agrees to take part, then records the meetings it already holds or lets the Elevaide bot join. No questionnaire, no extra session, nothing for the team to do except what it was already doing.
Observe and score
The engine detects observable behaviours, attaches the evidence and rolls them up into the five Element scores, alongside speaking-time, silence and turn-taking statistics.
You interpret
You receive the monthly Team Read, a fuller read than the team gets, plus a weekly signal email. Every quarter you run a team workshop of at least two hours on what the data shows. AI observes; coach interprets; team grows.

Jeroen van Velzen & Jelle Vegter
Jeroen van Velzen is founder and CEO of Elevaide, a serial entrepreneur and executive coach with the INSEAD Coaching Certificate. He built Elevaide after running and advising scale-ups from 5 to 1,200 FTE where the strategy was clear and the team was capable, and execution still slipped, for reasons that lived in the management team's meetings and that nobody could see or measure.
Jelle Vegter, co-founder and CTO, built the behavioural measurement engine. The methodology behind it sits on a curated library of over a hundred sources and is vetted by experienced team coaches and psychologists.
Coaching - INSEAD Coaching Certificate, executive coach to scale-up leadership teams
Framework - Five Elements, compressed from twenty-five established team-effectiveness models and 100+ sources

We are looking for a handful of coaches to run this with a real team
Esperto and Elevaide are exploring together whether observed team behaviour belongs in the coach toolkit. Before it becomes a standard part of the catalogue, we want to see it work in a few real engagements, and we want to hear what you find. No sales pitch, no long-term commitment: one team, a few months, and an honest conversation afterwards.
What you get
Pilot conditions on one Team Read for one leadership team, the half-day onboarding on the framework and the report, direct access to Jeroen and Eric during the run, and the first say in how this lands in the toolkit.
What we ask
One client leadership team that meets regularly and consents to taking part, your own read on each monthly report, and one debrief conversation with us after the first two reports.
What happens after
We share what we learned, anonymised, with everyone who took part. Together with the pilot coaches we decide whether and how Elevaide joins the catalogue. [EDIT: confirm with Jeroen whether pilot coaches keep their pilot conditions for that first engagement.]
Priced per team for the engagement, not per report.
Elevaide is priced per team for the length of the engagement. A Team Read runs continuously, so you are not metering profiles or paying per report. During the pilot the first coaches run it on pilot conditions; standard partner pricing follows once the pilot has told us what it is worth to a coach.
Pilot conditions
On request / per team, per engagement
Shared on the discovery call with the coaches who join the pilot. Standard partner pricing follows after the pilot.
- Monthly Team Read with scored Elements, patterns and transcript evidence
- Weekly signal email between reports
- Coach-facing notes mapped to the framework: a fuller read than the team receives
- Half-day onboarding on the five Elements and the report
- Leader Read available as an add-on for one leader in the team
Several teams. Running this with more than one client team? Ask about a partner rate for multiple teams.
Enterprise and multi-team. Several leadership teams inside one organisation are priced per team.
Certification. None required. The half-day onboarding is included; after that you deploy Elevaide inside your own engagements.
Frequently asked questions
Who is the Elevaide Team Behaviour Assessment for?
The Elevaide Team Behaviour Assessment is for coaches and consultants who work with a leadership team over time, typically a management team of four to ten people in an organisation of 20 to 1,000 employees. It works best in a running team-coaching engagement, where you see the team every few weeks or every quarter and want to know what actually happened in between.
How long does the engagement take?
Elevaide gives a first picture of the team after about three recorded meetings, then a Team Read every month for as long as the engagement runs, with a weekly signal email in between. Every quarter you run a team workshop of at least two hours on what the data shows. The team does nothing extra: it records the meetings it already holds or lets the Elevaide bot join. Elevaide runs the analysis; you interpret the reports and hold the sessions.
In which languages is it available?
Elevaide is available in Dutch and English. If your client's meetings run in another language, ask; we will tell you honestly whether it can be supported.
What does my client receive as a deliverable?
Your client receives a monthly Team Read: the five Element scores, the depth at which the team's conversations operate, the patterns behind the scores and transcript evidence for each, with trend lines from the first meeting onward. You receive a fuller version with coach-facing notes, so the team learns the vocabulary and starts to self-coach while you keep the deeper read.
If you add Leader Read, the leader receives an individual behavioural profile derived from how they actually show up in the team's meetings: how often they invite, how often they direct, whether their questions open the room or close it. Individual reads go to the leader and their coach only and are never published to the team.
How is privacy handled? Can the team trust it?
Elevaide records and analyses meetings only with the consent of the participants. Processing and storage take place in Europe, data is retained for the engagement and deleted on request, and the service is set up to be GDPR compliant. Team-level results go to the team and the coach; individual leader reads go to the leader and their coach only.
Elevaide reads the team system and what happens between people. It does not work at the level of personal psychology; that belongs to individual coaches and therapists. Ask us for the full data-processing details before you propose it to a client. [EDIT: link to Elevaide's privacy and data-processing documentation once received.]
Do I need to be certified to deploy this with my clients?
No certification is required. Elevaide includes a half-day onboarding on the five Elements and on reading the report, and that is enough to run it inside your own engagements. What you bring is what you already have: the ability to time a finding, hold the room and turn data into change.
How does pricing work, and what is my margin?
Elevaide is priced per team for the length of the engagement, not per report or per profile. During the pilot the first coaches run it on pilot conditions that we share on the discovery call; standard partner pricing follows after the pilot. You charge your client your own rate for the engagement and the sessions, and the difference is your margin.
Can I combine this with other Esperto assessments?
Yes, and this is where it gets interesting. The instruments in the Esperto catalogue measure the person or the team from self-report or ratings; Elevaide measures the team as a system from observed behaviour. Run both and you can check whether what a leader reports about themselves matches how they show up in the room, which is exactly the conversation Leader Read is built for.
Natural pairings: the Quarterly Session Preparation Assessment for Scaling Up teams, Pathfinder for depth work with a senior leader, and Culture Clarity or the WIN-scan when you want to connect the leadership team's behaviour to the wider organisation.
How is this different from a team survey or a personality test?
A team survey captures what members perceive at one moment, and a personality test describes traits; Elevaide observes behaviour, continuously, in real work. They are complementary: a self-report tells you what the team believes, Elevaide tells you what the team does, and the gap between the two is usually the coaching agenda.
Could I have named the pattern myself, without the reports?
Often, yes. A good coach in the room sees a lot. What you cannot do is be in the room every week, and you cannot make the team see the pattern without it arriving as your interpretation. When the team sees it in its own data, nobody has to be the one to name it. The value is produced in the coached loop: your session, the report, the follow-up.
Is the instrument validated?
The five Elements are grounded in published team science; the behavioural marker taxonomy is a working instrument with face validity that Elevaide is validating against established instruments as its team base grows. That is one of the reasons we run this as a pilot first: we want to see it hold up in real coaching engagements before it becomes a standard part of the catalogue.
Let's talk about running Elevaide with one of your leadership teams.
A short discovery call is the fastest way to know whether the pilot fits your practice. We will ask which client team you have in mind, how often it meets and what you want to learn from it. Then we will be honest about whether observed behaviour adds something to the work you already do with that team, or whether another instrument in the Esperto toolkit fits better.
