PAR - the Personal Agility Radar

Make personal agility visible: the skills to adapt, perform and thrive in a changing world of work.

PAR is a research-based self-assessment of personal agility. Your client is scored across six dimensions in two domains, the personal qualities they bring and how they interact with their environment, and receives a radar profile, their own ranked priorities and a built-in action-planning guide. Developed by Work Matters and Esperto, and refined with research partners at Trinity College Dublin, PAR turns "adaptability" from a buzzword into something your client can see, discuss and deliberately build. You debrief the report and stay the strategist.

About the assessment

What PAR measures

PAR scores your client across six dimensions of personal agility. Three sit in the personal domain: purposefulness, learning mindset and change orientation. Three sit in the social domain: empowered, relationship management and collaboration. Uniquely, PAR looks at both the person and their environment, so the profile shows not only your client's own qualities but also how enabling their current work context is. On top of the radar profile, your client ranks the agility skills that matter most to them; the report plots those priorities against their actual scores and closes with a practical action-planning guide, from current behavior and mindset to the more agile alternative.

The instrument is grounded in academic research on workforce agility, developed by Work Matters and Esperto, and refined and validity-tested with research partners at Trinity College Dublin, validated through primary research with business and HR leaders from organizations covering over 150,000 employees.

Typical use cases for coaches and consultants

  • Open a career-navigation or future-of-work coaching engagement with an evidence-based picture of your client's adaptive skills.
  • Ground leadership development in the qualities leaders actually need in a changing organization, and in how enabling their environment really is.
  • Use it in workshops and classroom programs: a structured, digital version of the agility exercise many coaches already run on paper.
  • Run it at the start and end of a coaching track to show measurable growth in personal agility.
  • Follow up a S.C.O.P.E. engagement by taking the same agility story to the individuals who have to make the change work.

How it works

From questionnaire to coaching conversation in days. Pay-as-you-go, no subscriptions, no platform commitments, no surprise costs along the way.

1

Invite

You send your client a unique link to the online PAR questionnaire. You stay in control of timing, framing and follow-up.

2

Self-assess and score

Your client completes the self-assessment and ranks their personal priorities. The platform scores all six dimensions and generates the radar report.

3

Debrief into action

You walk through the radar, the priorities matrix and the action-planning guide together, turning insight into three to five concrete practices. You stay the strategist.

Coach-partner pricing

Built so you can deliver value and earn your margin.

PAR is priced as a partner rate for coaches and consultants who deliver it inside their own engagements. You charge your client what fits the value of your work; the difference is your margin.

Answers

PAR questions

Who is PAR for?

Coaches and consultants who work with individuals on careers, leadership development and adapting to changing work environments. It suits career-navigation coaching, future-of-work programs, leadership tracks and workshop settings where personal adaptability is the theme.

How long does it take?

The questionnaire is short, and the report follows shortly after. One focused debrief session with the report in hand is enough to build a first action plan. [EDIT: confirm exact respondent time and turnaround.]

What does my client receive?

A personal agility report: the radar profile across all six dimensions, feedback per underlying competency, their own ranked priorities plotted against their current scores, and a built-in action-planning guide that converts insight into three to five concrete practices, complete with a worked example.

Do I need to be certified to deploy it?

No full certification is required. You follow a recorded onboarding webinar of about an hour that prepares you to deploy PAR, interpret the radar and guide the action planning. After that you deploy pay-as-you-go. [EDIT: confirm the webinar-onboarding model with Kevin Empey.]

Is there a 360 version of PAR?

PAR runs as a self-assessment, which keeps it fast, affordable and easy to deploy in coaching and workshop settings. For engagements that need outside perspectives, a multi-rater variant can be arranged through the platform, which handles all the 360 logistics: nominations, reminders and aggregation. Ask us about it on a call. [EDIT: confirm positioning of the 360 variant with Kevin Empey.]

Can I combine PAR with other assessments?

Yes. PAR is the individual half of the workplace-agility story: it pairs naturally with S.C.O.P.E. when an organization is working on its agility and the people need to grow with it. It also combines well with other individual instruments in the Esperto toolkit, such as the 5 States of Success for meaningful success and the Enneagram for self-awareness underneath the skills.

Ready to add this to your toolkit?

Let's talk about how PAR fits your practice.

A short discovery call is the fastest way to know whether PAR is right for your next engagement. We will ask how you work with individual clients on careers, leadership and adapting to change, and where a structured agility profile would strengthen your offer. Then we will be honest about whether PAR is the right match, or whether S.C.O.P.E., another individual instrument, or something else in the Esperto toolkit fits better.
